Welcome to Miss. Madge's Grade One Class!
Welcome to Grade One! My name is Mandy Madge and it is my pleasure to welcome your child to my classroom for a wonderful year of learning. I am so excited to be teaching grade one this year at Heloise Lorimer School.
I look forward to meeting you all as we begin to build a collaborative community to ensure we have a fantastic year!
This year we will be posting some information on our Google Classroom. The invitation has been sent to students Rockyview email account. If you have not yet joined, please do so as this will keep you up to date on current events in our class.

Parent Tips
A family atmosphere prevails at our school with the education of your child being a shared responsibility. We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council and at home.
- Please remind your child to practice their home reading on a regular basis (starting late September).
- Please remind your child to practice their counting and number recognition.
- Please initial your child's agenda daily.
- Sight words are a necessary part of literacy. Help your child become a better reader by practicing their sight words and encourage them to use them when writing sentences. These will be posted on Google Classroom at the end of each week.
