Dress for the Weather

As the weather cools down and our students continue to participate in outdoor physical education class, active commutes to school, classroom community walks, and daily outdoor recesses, proper clothing is critical for a positive experience and optimal learning at school.

An image from Be Fit for Life and Get Outside and Play was shared with us regarding how to dress for the weather and we wanted to share this useful piece of information with all of you! As such, please see the attached document for a helpful visual on how to "dress for success" in various temperatures!

Wishing you all the best,

Our Knights spirit wear online store will be open from October 19 - November 6th, 2020. This store allows students and their family to purchase Knights clothing to show off their school spirit!

  1. Links to our online store can be found on our school website homepage (http://lorimer.rockyview.ab.ca/) and on the P.E. page to make access super easy.
  2. All purchases on the store are done through our supplier, Sportfactor. If you have questions regarding the clothing, please contact Sportfactor directly (their contact details are at the bottom of the store page). If you are having trouble finding the store, feel free to contact the school (office or Mr. Pratt).
  3. The store will be open in October (Now) and February for select dates, not all year. Each time the store is opened an email will be sent home to let parents know. The store is open now for those of you wishing to get your clothing prior to the holidays! Sportfactor has assured us these orders will be delivered prior to the break.
  4. This year some items offer a "customization" feature, allowing students to add their names to some items for an additional cost. Also please remember that most items have different colour options if you click on the image. Images do not have different logo options.

School Re-Entry Plan

As you are aware, schools across Alberta are preparing plans for school re-entry in September 2020. To ensure its communities are informed, Rocky View Schools has created an online repository to keep stakeholders up-to-date on the most recent developments.

School Re-Entry Plan

On June 10, 2020, Alberta Education announced a comprehensive re-entry plan for the upcoming school year, which allows schools and parents to prepare for learning while putting student and staff safety first. Recognizing that many families and staff have questions related to school re-entry, RVS has created an online repository, School Re-Entry Plan, that will provide details around RVS' approach, answers to frequently asked questions and wellness resources.

Hosted on RVS' public website, this repository will continuously be updated so families and staff are encouraged to return often.
