As well,  we have been practicing writing short stories with transition words such as first, next and last, and writing star sentences including "Who?" and "Who does what?"

In Math, we are currently focusing on adding and subtracting numbers to 10, using different math strategies such as fingers, pictures, snap cubes, a number line and counters. As well, we have been learning about our rights and responsibilities as a citizen in a variety of communities.

In Science, we have been learning about animals' needs and and their lives in winter. Students have been practicing their skills and knowledge in using inquiry to explain, interpret and predict about animals' migration, adaptation and hibernation.
